Fiat Lingua, the upcoming Journal of the Language Creation Society, is seeking papers and articles for publication, artwork, and referees.
The LCS and David J. Peterson are working with HBO to create the Dothraki language for their upcoming adaptation of George R.R. Martin's A Game of Thrones!
The Conlang Flag was designed by Christian Thalmann, Jan van Steenbergen, Leland Paul, David J. Peterson and Adrian Morgan. It represents the Tower of Babel (translating Genesis 11:1-9 has been a tradition for conlangers) against a rising sun. The LCS seal (shown above) incorporates the main elements of the Conlang Flag, plus our slogan, our name, and our year of incorporation; it was designed by Paul Schleitwiler and Greg Shuflin.
Conlang.org is a site for conlangers, would-be conlangers, those interested in or curious about conlangs, and anything else to do with conlanging.
A "conlanger" is someone who creates or constructs languages or "conlangs." Conlangs come in a wide variety although these can be divided primarily into three general areas: auxlangs or international auxiliary languages like Esperanto, engelangs or engineered languages like Ithkuil and Lojban, and artlangs or artistic languages like Sindarin or Klingon. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and these are simply some of the more widely-known examples of these respective types of conlangs.
